Withdrawal of Roxys / Opiates and RLS??

ok, i'm on day 2 with no roxys (or any opiates for that matter) and i'm not sick, just experiencing severe RLS (restless legs) and its driving me crazy. i feel like i want to amputate my legs!! I only got about 2 hours of sleep last night. How long does this last? I've been on 30mg roxys (about 2-5 per day) for about 2 months now. Any remedies??

Hang in there. It is tough so try to be calm as much as you can. It would be a real help to have a friend thee with you. I mean a real friend. One that accepts you as you are and willing to be there for you and not preach at you.

If it really gets bad then call for help and go to the detox center.

Just another perfect example of opiates and their dangers. Anyone who takes opiates is crazy and all people should refuse prescriptions from their doctors for these crazy things...they should be taken off the market. I can't wait for the class-action suit for these things....my son may actually get his life back....

Good luck to you, my friend~just get through it

I've heard that slightly recreational doses of DXM (otc cough suppressant) help with opiate withdrawal. I would suggest about 100mg.

Immodium (loperamide) is an opiate that doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier, so it doesn't have any recreational effects. It's OTC, and it will alleviate some of the shakes, tremors, etc. And GI problems :)
