I have been taking opiates for 6 years, when givin a urinalysis I come up negative for opiates why? |
this has happend to me several times & I cant find any answers for it I really hope someone can explain this to me. Wow, that's bazaar. Are the opiates short acting, do you take them constantly and are you dependent? The only reason I can think of is if you are only using them occasionally and you are being tested between does, or after they are out of your system. Why are you being tested and by whom? More details might help. Also, think of asking this question on a message board on WebMD.com Go to the pain management section there as I think they even have a professional that answers questions on this subject and you may get some answers. I'm now curious myself. Hey, what type of opiates are/have you been taking? If pills, what mg and how often? If you are taking oxycodone (percocet, oxycontin, etc.) they only stay in your system between 12-24 hours. Hydrocodone (lortab, vicodin, etc.) on the other hand stays in your system 3-5 days. Both of these lengths depend strongly on what type of opiate, what milligram, and how often they are taken. |
