hydrocodeine/codeine and opioids are anlagesics or pain relievers.
They are also in the category of narcottic and its illegal
so you should definately CYA

Yes, vicodin is an opiate and so is codeine. If you had taken vicodin, Percocet, or Tylenol 3's these things would definitely be in your bloodstream. Illegal drugs including Heroin are also opiates. There are legal ones and illegal ones. As long as you have not been using illegal drugs, your in the clear.

Quick answer: Yes. Codeine is an Opiate and Vicodin has an Opiate in it. Opiates are used to relieve pain. Opiates can be addictive. You should only use them under the advise and consent of a Doctor. I hope this helps.

Yes. If you was taking tylenol 3 they have codeine in it and both are opiates. Here is a list of drugs that are considered opiates Opium, Codeine, Morphine, Heroin, Hydromorphone (Dilaudid), Oxycodone (Percodan), Oxymorphone (Numorphan), Hydrocodone (Vicodin), Meperidine (Demerol), Fentanyl, Methadone (Dolophine), Darvon, Talwin.

An Opiate is any of various sedative narcotics containing opium or one or more of its natural or synthetic derivatives.
A drug, hormone, or other chemical substance having sedative or narcotic effects similar to those containing opium or its derivatives: a natural brain opiate. Also called opioid .
Something that dulls the senses and induces relaxation or torpor

Yes, codeine and hydrocodone (the narcotic in Vicodin) are opiates. It's a general term for the narcotics, because they're derived from the opium poppy. Some are natural, some are synthetic, and some are half-way between (semi-synthetic), but the terms fits well enough. If the drugs were prescribed for you, there should be no problem. If they weren't, you're busted. That's why they do the tests.
