Will Darvocet test positive for opiates? It very well could, but there's a way around that. I also take a prescription medication that tests positive for opiates. All you have to do is tell the drug tester that you're taking a medication that may interfere with your drug screen. They will ask you to produce proof of this, and then they will test the levels in your system. If you're taking your meds as prescribed, you'll be okay. It cannot test positive for opiates, however, all UDS's test specifically for it. It is well-known as a drug of abuse, and it hits the same receptor sites for opiates, which is the reason the opiate junkies go to it as a replacement for their high when they can't get what they want.
