Anyone know the job outlook for Ophthalmology? |
im trying to do a research paper on it and Im not having a lot of luck finding the information I need Ophthalmology is strong and growing by leaps and bounds. With the advent of LASIK surgery, 10 minute cataract surgery (the most common type of surgery in the US) and many new drugs coming into the market, ophthalmology is the way to go. Ophthalmology is looking good. Have you researched it on the internet? How about calling some opthamologists and asking to interview them for your paper? Myself, I would think there would be a need for good eye doctors. Good luck. |

Comes down to the level of specialization. An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor, an optometrist has a lesser qualification, but is still licensed to give eye examinations to prescribe lenses.
