What is Oncologist and oncology?


The reason I asked this question is because I am not sure what it means. I heard my friend whom past away about 2 months ago mention that she had an appointment with an oncologist. She did not understand what that was either.

an oncologist is a doctor who specializes in treating cancer, oncology is the study of cancer..so most likely your friend passed away of cancer..I'm so sorry for your loss
