Omega-3 Fatty Acids...?

Okay I just bought some of these pills for a supplement into my diet, now, i didn't realize this in the store but the bottle says "Omega-3 Prenatal"...lol I'm a 18 year old male and lol obviously not pregnant, are these still okay for me to take? or will it be bad for me? And is there even a difference between prenatal omega-3 capsules and regular omega-3 capsules?

no real difference that I am aware of, sounds more like a marketing ploy than anything else, omega three is in short supply in most people's diets, you want a 1:3 or better omega 3 to omega 6 ratio or better and most people have a 1:35 ratio, as such it wouldn't be a concern of mine (most of the time women's and men's formulas are bogus marketing ploys that have lower vitamin amounts but a higher price than a normal multi-vitamin)

I'd suggest eating spinache salads instead, spinache has really favorable omego 3 to omega 6 ratios

For those who are wondering about omega 3 to omega 6 ratios the belief is that if the ratios are closely in line to each other, the body simply does not try to store much fat and will kick out almost anything you eat and don't use for nutrition as waste

I doubt there's any difference. Yours is probably more expensive, and contains things like folic acid and niacin...

Go for it.

it wont hurt you to take it. is it the "expecta" from infamil?? it definatly wont hurt you. just take it and buy the other kind later. actually these are probably better than the others cuase they are meant to have a lot so it can get to the baby.
