Omega 3 fatty acids in Eggs, are they good for me?

I Love eggs so much, I don't care about the Cholesterol levels because I can change it with high intensity exercise to lower it down... Plus it's a myth that it causes heart problems and such.

Anyways, I went to the Grocery store today and I saw eggs that are labeled Omega 3 eggs...What are omega 3 fats? Are they good for me? Because if they are I'm definately getting them.

One type of polyunsaturated fat, omega-3 fatty acids is especially beneficial to your heart. Omega-3s decreases the risk of coronary artery disease. Omega-3s also protects against irregular heartbeats and help lower blood pressure levels.

Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fats found mostly in seafood. Good sources of omega-3s include fatty, cold-water fish, such as salmon, mackerel and herring. Flaxseeds, flaxseed oil and walnuts also contain omega-3 fatty acids, and small amounts are found in canola and soybean oils.

Omega 3 fa's are fa's that are essential. This means that the only way the body can get them is to eat them, humans do not have the enzyme systems to make them. Yes they are good for you, as is taking fish oil for a different form of omega 3 but still very good form. Omega 3's are vital to reduce inflammation in the body, and are essential for a proper functioning neuron, so it is great for the nervous system. Fried or scrambled, your choice.

Yes.

The fat in eggs is omega 3 and u need two 2 three serves of omega 3 per week because it is good 4 brain development
So yes eggs containing omega 3 are very good 4 u.

Yes, they are good. Omega 3's are vital to cell function, brain building, lots of things. There are actually symptoms associated with not enough Omega 3s - find them on this page under the Fatty Acids heading: http://www.tinussmits.nl/english/dynamic...
There is more info there about fatty acids too.

Actually, the egg is the almost perfect food. It doesn't contain Vit C though, so have a glass of Orange Juice with it. The cholesterol worries are mostly hype. In the normal, moderation diet, egg is a good addition, and a great staple.

The marketing of Omega 3 eggs is in question. I think Dr. Mercola did an article section about it - see http://www.mercola.com

The best way to get your eggs to guarantee potency and freshness is from your local farmer - (not industrial chicken house). We grow our own! Love having dark yolked, fresh eggs!

Dr. M says the best way to benefit from eggs is raw. My husband does that - I think it is gross. So, I cook my with minimal interruption of the yolk - poached, boiled or over easy. Egg nutrients are easily damaged by stirring, so scrambled eggs do not yield you as many nutrients as other forms.

Happy egg eating.

BTW - many have added Cod Liver Oil to their diet as a source of Omegas. It is a good option for everyone, very healthful. If you do, just check the label to make sure it is tested mercury free or heavy metal free.
