Will drinking a lot of milk, eating yogurt and omega 3 fatty acids, like tuna make me taller? |
Im a female. I turned 18 in November of 2007. Im 5' 4inches tall and I really wish that I was taller or at least if my legs were longer..I look in the mirror and I see a long torso and short legs..I jog on the treadmill sometimes but i'm afraid to continue because I think that my legs will get muscular and bulky and make me look even more shorter. I just want longer legs..My brothe is taller than I am and he's 17 and my mom is kinda short (5'3" tall) but my dad is 6' 2" and everyone else in my dad's family is either 6' or TALLER..This is really stressing me out and..Im not fat..i'm slim..but I've got boobs and hips and thighs but sufficient enough...I eat healthy, but lately i've been eating pizza and drinking soda and chinese food..so i need to stop that..but yes..is that unattractive..oh and i've got a big butt too..so i don't know if that makes my legs shorter too.. To be perfectly honest at your age there is no way to get longer legs short of breaking them and having a doctor pun pins in to stretch you out. I am assuming that you are too sane to have that done. 5'4" is not short for a woman. In fact that is the average height of American women. You are perfectly in the middle - not too short, not too tall. You may grow a little more, but the extension will be in your torso, not your legs. That fact of the matter is that you are ok. You do not need to change. Everyone doesn't look like Heidi Klum. In fact most people have shorter, thicker, darker, rounder bodies than famous people and that's ok. I'm sure you are beautiful just the way you are. Unfortunately if you are 18 now, its pretty unlikely you will grow more (particularly if you finished puberty more than a couple of years ago). But eating a healthier diet will be good for you in lots of ways. Genetics play a big role in height but yea drinking milk, taking protein shakes helps release growth homrone which helps your body grow. Genetics play a major role as much as the nutrition you took during your puberty age, as much as it is different for every person to develop their musculoskeletal or in general the whole body, most women still has development until18 or 20 years old. My advice is start a healthy lifestyle, taking nutritional supplements and eating healthy, omega3 for me is a nutrient fir for your heart and brain as it is a blood clotting agent, consulting a physical therapist and a dietician for a high calcium diet would be one option. But being satisfied with what you have right now would be better, if your desire to have longer legs wouldn't be possible, try to make most out of what you have, exercise..eat right and live right, and i'm sure you'll be turning heads with those assets! :) |
