What kind of foods can I find Omega-3 in (not pills)? Are there any useful sites about Omega 3? I've heard that fish oils have a higher concentration of Omega 3 than flax seed or flax seed oil. But I would definitely recommend the intake of milled flax seed. Not only are the kernels cheaper but likewise free from chemical the impurities that are associated with fish oils. Yeah, flax seed may have lesser quantities of Omega 3 but taking more teaspoons each day would help meet the recommended intake for this nutrient. Below is a good resource on flax seed and Omega 3. Fish is the best source. You can also cook in oil fortified with omega 3's. Even peanut butter is available with omega 3's pumped in. Fatty fish such as tuna, salmon and mackerel. |
