If you have a lot of fat in your diet, can it do harm to also take omega 3?

I have a moderately high-fat diet, though I have been working on this...the problem seems to be that when I try to eat less bad things and more good I seem to end up not eating anything at all. I am really working on this and have made some progress...
...I also take several medications and supplements for a chronic medical condition which the doctor says is not related to my diet. One of the things I recently started taking is Omega-3 supplements. I also started trying to find things with Omega-3s to replace some of the other bad things in my diet where possible.

But I started thinking about this and I am wondering if it is bad to add additional Omega-3 fatty acids to an already high fat diet.

I realize the "right" answer is to just eat better and cut out the bad fat and leave the good--and I am working on that, really. But in the mean time, is it bad to be adding omega 3s on top of a diet already moderaltely high in other fats?

Thanks.

You just need to figure if you and family can afford either expensive medical bills and/or a funeral.

Improving your diet is the least expensive way to improve your long term health and improve your longevity.

Take 1, 2, or 3 1000mg fish oil pills daily. Try to replace any fat snacks with fresh fruit, or whole grains. Get a balanced diet so you don't gain any weight, or lose if you should.

i take fish oil for fast heart beat, i take twice a day,

There's nothing wrong with a high animal fat diet. Eskimos live on fats. I came across a site which stated ridiculous amounts of omega 3 can be harmful to the brain.

WHY would you want to follow a low fat diet?

As far as omega 3's don't go above around 900 mf EPA DHA Which is around 3 1,000 mg pills of good quality fish oil .

The large Itlian trial GISSI showed fish oil SIGNIFICANLTY LOWERED CHD mortality WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY RAISING LDL levels

So much for the UNTENABLE and FALSE Cholesterol Theory

Here is ANOTHER trial demonstrating how the Cholesterol Theory is NOT supported by randomized clinical trials

Dieting will probably give you better results.
