Is there anyone who is studying or has studied Occupational therapy?

do you enjoy the course and the job!?

I have been an OT for 9 years. I enjoyed school very much (although there were classes like neuro-anatomy that I was very glad to be done with - I studied so much!!!). I have worked in an acute setting in a hospital, a rehab hospital, nursing homes, and home health. My main job is home health now since that is the most flexible and it pays well. Typically, I make about $70 per 45 minute visit plus 50 cent a mile. I also work in a rehab hospital and make $45 an hour. If you are interested in the field, I recommend you call a local OT and see if you can observe him or her. The best thing would be to try to observe several OTs in different settings- my friend works with autistic kids -I could NEVER do that - but I love working with kids in an acute hospital setting. A good website to check out is www.aota.org
Good luck
