Severe shoulder pain still!!!!!?

I have been going through this for 6 months now! I called the nureosugeon he wanted me to go to a ciropractor, until my workers comp goes through, i kept asking when can i see the other doctor, 2 weeks. i heard 2 weeks for 2 months, the therapy did nothing, if not hurt even more. so i took matters in my own hands and tried massage therapy, didnt work. went to emergency on my own insurance they said it was a pulled musle and gave musle relaxers, didnt work. went to another emergency they said bursitus, sent me to occupational health who said arthritis, gave me celebrex, didnt work. went to emergency again, for severe pain each time. said advance carpel tunnel gave me vicodan and wrapped my arm in a cast, the cast felt good relieved the pain for a while the vicodan really worked, all i needed was 2 a day for the pain it was great, i didnt feel tired or high, but i could lift my arm and my hand and arm wasnt weak for once. they had me follow up with my doctor in which i did, he doesnt...

except workman comp so had to pay on my own told him the vicodan worked and what they did, he gave me 60 tramadol, went through them in 2 weeks! didnt work! he sent me to a orthapedic surgeon who said bone spur and gave me 800 ib. dosent work. I am in so much pain right now, after work i think i am going back to emergency, this is getting old. i would like it fixed when i look it up on the computer the closest it comes to is rotator cuff. i need an mri but they never do one. why? when will it end?i want to see my nureosurgeon but not the ciropractor.

From what you describe it sounds a lot like bursitis,,I have bursitis in my rt shoulder and the pain never goes away unless I take a heavy pain killer..I had a cortisone shot in the shoulder and it made a difference for about 3 months I was able to use my whole arm...You may want to check with you doctor about a cortisone shot..WARNING THEY HURT BUT ARE WORTH IT

BE PERSISTENT! Keep talking to the doctors accepting the Workman's comp. Sometimes the nagging will finally light a fire under their butts! I wish I could give more hope, but it took me 18mo to finally get my shoulder properly treated after an on-the-job injury. Unfortunately, it was denied by Workman's Comp when my lawyer retired due to health issues of his own, and my case was taken over by a very overworked junior associate with the firm. We were very lucky that my medical insurance choose to cover the surgery and several months of PT afterward. I was an ER Tech/EMT when the injury took place, the WC insurance for the hospital did everything they could to deny the claim even when the doctors I worked with in the ER fought them demanding proper coverage for me!! My shoulder was pulled and twisted so badly it stretched and tore the joint capsule causing a 3/4" extra gap in the joint, causing my shoulder to dislocate with even light use of the arm. I had to get others, including my children to help me force the shoulder back in place sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. It was much like Mel Gibson does in "Lethal Weapon". If it helps, though I have a good strong shoulder now and was even able to return to EMT work which requires being able to lift VERY HEAVY patients. I was able to find a fantastic Upper Extremities Specialist, who did major reconstruction of the joint capsule. I still have some aching in cold/damp weather, but this is minor compared to what I endured for 18months!
Keep asking the doctors for an MRI!! This is certainly a reasonable course of action at 6months without resolution of the problem. "The squeaky wheel gets the oil" really does work with doctors, but you must be FIRM that you want this done to make sure they haven't missed something. When this is said, they want to make sure you won't be sending a malpractice suit their way for their negligence!
GOOD LUCK!!!
