What are the dangers associated with using shrooms?

I was poking around online, and all I could find was the dangers of overdosing, permatrips, or bad trips. What sort of physical damage do they do? Any stories?

I did find this on wikipedia, which was interesting.. "A common misconception, even seen in the professional environment, is that the effects experienced from psilocybin are due to a poisonous nature of the compound, yet the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, a branch of the Center for Disease Control, rated psilocybin less toxic than Aspirin or Nicotine"

I knew a guy who ended up running around outside, naked, screaming "I am the new messiah!". he spent the night in the hospital.

in any case, I think the biggest worry as far as physical damage is concerned is that you'll do something stupid and hurt yourself while you're on them.

i guess the only real danger would be a bad trip around people you arent comfortable with. make sure you're around people ur comfortable with so you dont hurt yourself

i think just a bad trip. i've heard prolonged or extreme use of it causes brain damage, but anyhting in excess is bad for you.
