Psychology - Obsessive-compulsive disorder?

Obsessive-compulsive cleaners tend to resemble people suffering from

a. Dissociative identity disorder
b. Bipolar disorder
c. Phobia of dirt
d. Antisocial personality disorder

I know that Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder characterised by obsessions and compulsions. OCD is an anxiety disorder, a category in the DSM also includes post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder (social phobia) and panic disorder. I think the answer is C. but it also might be B. I can鈥檛 figure it out. What do you think?

Common Obsession: Worrying excessively about dirt or germs and that you may become contaminated or contaminate others Common compulsion: Washing or cleaning: such as showering repeatedly or washing your hands until the skin is red and painful

no to a,b,d.
If you are constanly washing, then there must be some worry on your mind about getting dirting ( c. Phobia of dirt ) .
I do have ocd and I wash when I find it necessary.

i would say bipolar since they have the mania at times, maybe phobia of dirt...but that is pretty limited category since OCD can have obsessive thoughts and actions that dont deal with cleaning.

Definately C... Bipolars arent necessarily OCD.

phobia of dirt

I have OCD.

It is not c.

Many sufferers do not have a phobia of dirt, this is just the most commonly publicised symptom,

It is the phobia of disorder, and how that might result in something that you fear.

Well, Im OCD and Bipolar so i would have to go with B...
