Help obsessive compulsive disorder!!!? |
i think i have obsessive, compulsive disorder. i check if things are closed a certain number of times, if i check over a certain number of times i have to recheck. i try and not use the number 6, 13 or 3 because theyre my bad numbers. when i drive and go over a small bump i always have to check the rear view a few times incase i dint run over someone, i know logically and rationally i didnt tho. On some level I really believe most of us do have OCD. There is a little Philex Unger in all of us. Just, some people have it to the point where it literally controls their lives. So don't worry - you can keep checking to be sure things are closed. If you do notice it is unreasonably interfering with you everyday life then consult a professional. Ahhhh yes, OCD at it's finest. Go see a doctor very soon!!! There are meds out there that can help, but you want to get it under control in it's earliest stages, while you still can. My ex husband's got out of control because he kept putting off treatment.... it took over his world. Good Luck! Most everybody has it to some degree. When our lives are filled with joy, friends and good things we have less time, less negative energy, or desire for the OCD type behaviors. It would appear to be a fairly mild case, as OCD goes: see page 7 at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris for treatments/resources. Everyone has these lil things. But if they start to take over your life, or rle affect it in some way, thats when it you should see your doctor. See your doctor. |
