Do I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?

Say, I'm taking a test, and I erase something. I have to put the eraser shavings in a pile, or I will get mad at myself for not cleaning up the shavings. Or that I feel the need to type with just one finger of my right hand because the other fingers are "unclean" and I will get sick from a disease from the other fingers. Do I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder? My doctor won't tell me.

Yes, I have a fear of becoming "Homosexual" or "Gay". And I can't use public bathrooms. Also I have to sleep on my back or else my body will not sleep saying that it needsd to get up. I can't go to school without getting up walking up and downstairs twice before and after my shower. Also I have to tap my foot and move my fingers for a couple of minutes for some reason.

It sounds like you do. Go to a psychiatrist and they can diagnose you for certain. I had it as a child, and they gave me anafranil and it went away after a while, and they tapered me off of the medication. I've been great ever since. I've heard it's very important not to abruptly go off of these medications when you are on them.

I say yes, but everyone has some weird things they do. Is yours severe? Are there a lot of things that you obsess about

see a psychiatrist. they will be able to help you in diagnosing and managing. however, some people just have some compulsive instincts. if these compulsions are interfering with your daily living/normal functioning, see a professional.
