What kind of job is suitable for people with obsessive compulsive disorder?

I have obsessive compulsive disorder, and often get fired. My symptoms is that I keep on checking things over and over again. For example, I keep on checking the door lock and light switch over and over again to see if it locked properly, so that I get a right feeling that it closed properly.

what kind of job do you think is suitable for me? If you have obsessive compulsive disorder what kind of job you have?

cleaning houses?

You may need a light medication to calm your anxiety.

I WOULD DO SOMETHING IN CLEANING BECAUSE THEY LOVE WHEN YOU DO EVERYTHING JUST THE WAY THEY LIKE IT. NOT ONLY THAT BUT YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT BECAUSE YOU DID SO GOOD. AND YOU MAKE MONEY

Quality controller!

I think it should be something where you aren't required to meet a quota as it seems that your OCD will limit the amount of things you can produce in an hour.

How about a call center?

Also, how can they fire you for a "disability"? When you interview you do not need to disclose that you are OCD. Wait until they offer you the job and ask if there is anything from preventing you from carrying out the tasks. Then you can mention OCD. But I don't think they can fire you. I think I'd check with your state to see what your rights are.

I test door locks and light switches.

Cleaner

Doctor.....think about it, you would be exact and make sure that the patient is taken care of right.

And you could be late seeing patients if time is an issue because everyone knows doctors are always late.

And you can prescribe your own anxiety meds.
