Do i have obsessive-compulsive disorder????

i'm confused if i have this disorder or not..i've taken some personality test in the internet but i don't know if i can trust those..
i'm afraid to see a doctor coz i might found out that it's true...what am i gonna do???

Well, you didn't mention any symptoms, so I can't lead you down the road as to whether you are or aren't, and either way I can't diagnose you. What I will tell you is DON'T be ashamed of having a mental disorder. There are a lot of people that are effected by these disorders in the world. The thing is people just don't know enough about them. YOU NEED to see a PSYCHIATRIST (not a Psychologist, not a Counselor, not a Therapist), but a PSYCHIATRIST IF IF IF this is really bothering you and effecting your everyday life. But, don't be ashamed of it. The first step to getting help is to admitting that you have a problem.

Never trust the internet for anything, let alone a personality test....Go seek some professional advice if you can afford it....a School Counsellor and or doctor and just tell them what you told us all here....don't be afraid....just go find out and then you will know whether or not your are OCD.....its no big deal...just go..OK...it will be worth your while...OK...

A type of anxiety disorder characterized by recurrent, persistent, unwanted, and unpleasant thoughts (obsessions) or repetitive, purposeful, ritualistic behaviors that the person feels driven to perform (compulsions). Abbreviated OCD.

I saw my doctor about 6 months ago - when I told him things like 'I brush my teeth hard to make sure they're clean' & 'I analyze everything obsessively', and even other things I discussed with him, he told me I have obsessive compulsive disorder. But I don't consider it a scary thing......he put me on a generic for zoloft which helps. More or less I wanted to feel calm & not 'spaz' over so many things when there was no need.

I can definitely sympathize with you. I have been doing things that have led me to believe I have OCD for a few years and have never gone to get it checked. Now things are getting worse and there is almost no question that I do. My advice it to go check it out asap. It's true that internet tests are not reliable and you could just be scared over nothing. But if you don't check it out and you do in fact have OCD it could get worse. It's scary but it's better to know and be able to do something about it then let it completely interfere with your life when things get more intense. Good luck with everything.

write me i have ocd
