What is obsessive Compulsive disorder?

What is obsessive Compulsive disorder?

This is also known as OCD. There are different degrees of this. Some are mild and others can let it destroy their lives without help.

An example would be that someone is obsessed over germs and wash their hand every 5 minutes or cannot stop cleaning their house. Or even so over organized, nothing can ever be out of place.

It is very similar to panic attacks only they have to constantly try to do something about it by reacting. It is a process of negative thinking. Short of going to a doctor and being diagnosed there are a couple of good web sites that may help.

its when you have to do an action over and over again. you are obsessive about it.

An anxiety disorder where affected people struggle with obsessive thoughts (turning off the oven, making sure the door is locked, putting away such and such) with compulsive behaviors (doind the same thing 20 or 30 times, or until it is "right).

ocd is when people have to do something the same way every time they do it. they rituals. like turn on and off the light in a room before they go in. any variation of this also applies look it up on the net for the best explanation.

Obsessive compulsive disorder (ocd) is a psychiatric anxiety condition that affects all ages. The obsession part is characterized by intrusive thoughts (thoughts that are persistent, won't leave your mind), obsessing, distressing and general anxiety. The compulsion side is characterized by acts that the person feels they 'need' to do. These acts are commonly called rituals. Rituals can include anything from touching/tapping objects a certain amount of times, compulsive hand washing, closing and locking doors repeatedly.
When an ocd person is not allowed to perform these 'rituals' their anxiety can spike quite high causing headaches, migraines, stomach pains etc. Hope this helps
