Obsessive Compulsive Disorder "voices"? |
Does anyone have the phenomena where they not so much hear a phrase or word in their head, but have it come to them, almost as if it is a thought, but nevertheless it is disturbing. I get that sometimes when I'm praying and this thought seems to come into my head in words that are vibrant. "Go to hell," it says and it is disturbing. It's as if I have words and phrases that pop up to disturb me at just the right time. It's not an auditory thing, such as a person who has schizophrenia. Yes! I know exactly what you mean!!! Just ignore it, and if it persists, remind yourself that you are bought with the precious blood of the lamb. I have AD/HD, but while researching my disorder I have found good information about the experiences that you describe. I also have OCPD. This disorder has some similarities to OCD, but not the same type of obsessions. I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and this isn't it. There aren't usually voices in OCD (at least none of the OCs I know, or myself). Not all schizophrenia has auditory voices. In fact, not all people with schizophrenia hear voices at all. I don't know if it's schizophrenia (I'm not a psychologist), but I can tell you, it doesn't have ANYTHING to do with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. OCD is probably one of the most misunderstood disorders. I know that sounds "I am a victimish" but people tend to miss the main aspects in their understandings of it. |
