Obesity and the Government?

Why is the Australian government so concerned about obesity in the community? How can the government address obesity in the community? What strategies has it used so far? Can you recommend any of your own?

Obesity is so important that the rate of Medical insurance been costung lives of these people feel upon their diets. The government gets involved by contacting food services, processsed food companies, fitness programs, and medical clinics may help so they can get some ideas, besides these people are experts. I recommend teaching youths especially in maybe 6th to 9th grade about obesity and health care, not like spending too much, how life goes on, and living the way they want. Adding programs that is funded by the givernment would REALLY help a whole lot.

Outlaw cars.

obesity is a serious matter and we just keep getting worse are kids are getting bigger and bigger people resort to food as a savor for everything, even parents use it as a reward factor, obesity cost the government billions of dollars in surgeries, heart problems medications therapies, blah blal

Hi.
Western governments have a good reason to be concerned with obesity as obese people are going to be more expensive for the health care system just like smokers. Perhaps taxing the overeaters will help, I don麓t want to pay for the vices of others by paying high taxes!!

Make car park further away from malls. Tax higher on fast food, beer and cars. Incentive given to family according to the total weight of the whole family.
