Is obesity here to stay??

Good afternoon. Was just wondering what everyones thought was on obesity. Because as a nation we are getting bigger, so in your own opinions is obesity here to stay? If so why do you think this?

I believe it is here to stay. Food is made to be convenient so people no longer have to burn much energy to obtain it like they did 100 yrs ago. You no longer have to grow, harvest and prepare it. You no longer have to milke the cow and butcher the hogs and beef. Our bodies were designed for all that work. Now we rely on prepackaged food. Eating is is easy. We can sit in front of the TV or computer and hardly lift a finger so we eat and get fat.

Yes because people are doing very little to help obesity go away. Sure nowadays there are low fat choices, low fat, and all these types of foods, but honestly, who will choose these over the full flavor foods. And there are scarcely an obese who will choose going to the park and exercising instead od playing games or watching tv.

its here to stay as long as the people want it to. Its a choice to be fat or not. 3500 calories = 1 pound of fat. Thats ontop of your daily needs. So easy, all we need is to follow through but i dont want to manipulate you into doing something thats good for you, otherwise youll have more energy and healthier body. that a no no to diet pill manufactures, and heart disease companies that believe that the pill will do the work. Many older fat people take like 5-10 pills a day, some for cholestrol, heart, kidney....+ surgery.

yes, i think so.
we're all just getting so lazy - cars, buses, trains, etc. we're building houses on beautiful sights were we could lose ourselves for hours walking. there're a lot of people who will motivate themselves to get up and lose weight, get active and eat healthy but there're others who just won't help themselves.
i hope i'm wrong and that obesity is an epidemic that will pass in a few years, but i don't think it will.
