Childhood obesity?

i have been called various names because i have been diagnosed with "child-hood obesity." it's sad, but it's genetic, because i try to eat healthy. i have been called "blubby chubs", "fat face", "lardo", "fatty mcfat fat", "blubbenstein", and even and various other names, including "rosie o'donell." how do i help myself from being s o fat and insulted.

Childhood obesity is NOT completely genetic! Much of it is very much affected by your diet and exercise choices. That said, there are genetic factors that cause others to have the tendency to be heavier, while some people can basically eat whatever they want and still be stick thin.

Be honest with yourself and think about how you spend your afternoons after school...do you sit around watching t.v., playing on the computer or video games & eating junk food?? OR are you outside playing with your friends...

Try to find a friend or family member to go on walks with you around the neighborhood or play outside with you to help you lose weight. Instead of chips (which have NO nutritional value), eat healthy snacks like fruits and vegetables..

I know it's not fair that some people can eat whatever they want, while others have to watch what they eat carefully & make sure that they exercise on a regular basis. However, childhood obesity can cause you lots of health problems when you're older and can cause you to die earlier from things like heart attacks and type II diabetes...therefore, you need to take actions to get your weight down to healthy level for your age & height-not for vanity reasons but for health reasons...

It's hard work to change your eating & exercise habits, but I KNOW you can do it!!!

Fat is never genetic. Bone structure can be, but fat is all based on eating dicisions. You can eat healthy and still be fat, so the best idea is to eat low-calorie AND healthy.

A diet and earplugs!!!!

exercise and eat healthy.

maybe u can run on a treadmil for an hour daily. I know how u feel i'm a fat preteen too. i feel sorry for u

Not sure how old you are, since your vocabulary and sentence structure are awfully mature, but I would think that the doctor who diagnosed you would be able to help you lose weight. If you are eating healthily, then you need to increase your exercise. This could mean signing up for a sport at school, like volleyball or basketball or track, or something as simple as walking to school every day.

As to the cruelty of your classmates, there's not a whole lot you can do about ignorance and stupidity. Just make sure you aren't missing the people who will accept you, since they are out there.
