Why doesn't Massachusetts (MassHealth) care about helping those with obesity problems? |
I've read online that MassHealth doesn't cover any obesity-related program, prescription, etc. I agree with your problems but i don't think that mass health should help just any person with obesity. In your mothers case it is her thyroids fault not her own so they should help her, but people who are obese on their own account should have to fend for themselves Seems pretty stupid to me. If she had a drinking problem, they would help her! I'm fat too, and have tried to get help for years. Ironic, but my current health plan (Anthem/Blue Cross) in Va. will cover gastric bypass surgery (not sure about prescriptions--although pretty sure they won't cover diet pills), but won't cover smoking cessation. Go figure. because overall it was not designed to care about anyone hi check this link its good |
