What's the prognosis for Nystagmus/? |
My son has Nystagmus and I've read up on it. Even after talking to doctors, none of them will say how it will affect him in the future. I work with someone who has it and she isn't that affected by it. What's your experience? I've had it for 2 months now due to undiagnosed neurological problem and i'm pretty used to it now. My friends son is albino and has very severe nystagmus and it's just normal to him and doesn't affect anything he does. Hope it gets sorted soon. best of luck Nystagmus is not a disease, but rather a symptom, characterized by repeated rotational, vertical or horizontal eye movements. Some nystagmus is normal, and normal nystagmus can be quite pronounced (as when a person gets off a spinning carnival ride). Nystagmus is normal due to changes in the inner ear, either in response to motion (normal) or disease (abnormal). |
