I have nystagmus. i had a inflammation problem over 2 yrs ago. i need to find out hiow to cure it.?

i went to an ENT specialist a nuerologist and a eye doctor. they said all of the tests look fine. i also have double vision. i am trying to learn how to walk again but its impossible to do so if my vision is like this. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Unfortunately you ccan't cure nystagmus. It is an uncontrolable rapid movement of the eyes going back and forth. You have seen the right Dr's, esp. the neurologist. Nystagmus is usually caused by something going wrong with the brain. The eye Dr. might have suggested wearing a patch on one eye for a time to see if that stops the nystagmus in the other eye.

Hi, I am sorry to hear about your condition and see by the research I have done that this is not only a terrible conditon but an aggravating one as well! There is a lot of information for the site I listed below for you that may be of some assistance to you. The actual site has some tests you may want to ask your Dr to do or order to help you out a bit more.
So, here is part of what is fron the website I looked at:

Congenital nystagmus has traditionally been viewed as non-treatable, but medications have been discovered in recent years that show promise in some patients. In 1980, researchers discovered that a drug called baclofen could effectively stop periodic alternating nystagmus. Subsequently, gabapentin, an anticonvulsant, was found to cause improvement in about half the patients who received it to relieve symptoms of nystagmus. Other drugs found to be effective against nystagmus in some patients include memantine, levetiracetam, 3,4-diaminopyridine, 4-aminopyridine, and acetazolamide.[1] Several therapeutic approaches, such as contact lenses, drugs, surgery, and low vision rehabilitation can also be used in order to improve visual function.
I just pulled up wikipedia and typed in Nystagmus and found a lot of good info on it.
While you are trying to relearn how to walk, have you tried putting your hand over one eye? If you have to use both hands to hold onto bars while trying to relearn maybe you can get an eye patch and see if this helps.
I send you my best wishes that you can get help with this! If you need to, print this out and take it to your next Dr appointment with the parts that interest you the most highlighted. At least your Dr's will see that you are interested and serious about your search for serious help!
