If you want to check with an eye doctor for any nerves in the eyes or nystagmus, who do I go to?

If you want to check with an eye doctor for any nerves in the eyes or nystagmus, who do I go to?

I would suggest an ophthalmologist (M.D.)

If you have no nerve problems, see a O.D. for glasses.

If you are having serious nystagmus, you will want to be checked out first by an ophthalmologist. If there is further need, the ophthalmologist will send you to a neurologist. Good luck with your balance til you get to the doctor.

Most ophthalmologists can check this. If you want to go "high-powered", go to a neuro-ophthalmologist.
