What's wrong with me? |
I was diagnosed with major depression 2 weeks ago, and have since been on anti-depressants... but I went to the eye doctor b/c I've felt my eyes "shaking" he said it was called nystagmus and recommended me to a specialist... I've had the shaking for a few years but it's gotten worse within the past few months, before the meds... I also have lost feeling in my feet and hands occasionally- and get the pins and needles feeling- this happens when sitting, or working out ( I run...) but I also feel tired even if I slept a long time, not physically, but mentally... my arm or leg will sometimes jerk too.... I'm going to the doctor for the eye thing, but can all of this be related? If so does anyone know of anything that might explain what's going on with me? Depression can manifest itself in many physical symptoms. Could it all be related, you bet I don't know... but you SO need to see a Neurologist. With all those things happening at once..... Most likely an eye doctor's not going to be able to help too much, overall... The numbness and tingling are all nervouse reactions. My first guess is Stage 1 Parkinson's, the SSRI's while actually potentiate the symptoms, GO TO A NEUROLOGIST. You might trying to discuss all this with your doctor. PDQ First I have to know. What drugs are you on? You can email me at urbanfaith@msn.com - I have had the same thing - the depression, sensory changes, shaking for days on end... |
