NUT ALLERGY!! I need some urgent advice!?

My mother is allergic to nuts and has just ate a ball of monkey nuts.

She thought she was only allergic to Peanuts so thats why she ate the Monkey nuts.

Now she has really bad stomach cramps and can't evan move.
What should she do? Is there anything I can give her like food or medicine that will help stop her stomach cramps??

what type of reaction did she have before to the peanuts? If there was anything to do with her airway ie, hives all over, throat swelling, tongue enlargement, difficulty breathing or anxiety then she should definitely go see a doctor. In those instances Intravenous medication intervention is required because it absorbs into your system faster than the irritant itself. The will probably give Benadryll and Epinephrine but don't feel bad and think it is something you could have avoided and treated at home鈥攖he emergency room just makes it look simple.

i don't know about the cramps... She might hurl... Try Benadryl & maybe TUMS.

If she has a nut allergy she should have an epi pen....give her a shot from that. Sounds more like she just ate too much and has stomach cramps as a result but try the epi pen or call 911 if it gets worse.

Take her to the ER or doctor as soon as possible or call into her doctor for advice. With any nut allergy, it's better to be safe than sorry. I just looked up monkey nuts and they are the pod of a peanut vine. If you have an epipen use it; if not get her to the ER asap. Either way ER now!!!

Are you in the UK - if so call NHS live and ask them for advice, otherwise I think you need to head for the emergency room.

Well, a good antidote to monkey nuts is...
greasy-grimey-gopher-guts.

Just massage her where the cramp is happening.
If that doesn't work, get her to the emergency room asap.

Take her to the doctors immediately. She might need steroid injection.
