Is coconut a problem for nut allergy sufferers ? My uncle Boris had a severe nut allergy. One day he fell asleep under a palm tree and a coconut fell on his head. It didn't kill him but he can't remember anything that happened before his coconut accident. Oddly enough, he doesn't remember having a severe nut allergy and can now eat nuts. A coconut isn't really nut. It's a fruit. I have a severe nut and peanut allergy & I have consumed coconut without a problem and was told by my allergist that it is perfectly safe for me to consume. |
