My boyfriend has a nut allergy ...?

I'm worried about it ... just in general, what should I avoid that I might not think of? As a non-sufferer, what kinds of things should I watch out for that might give him a reaction? help please!! thank you!

The first thing is educate yourself about allergies and nut allergies you can check out books from the library, and learn how to make a few nut free recipes for your boyfriend.Or take a trip to a health food store and get a few certified nut free treats for him when he comes to visit.A good company is called enjoy life foods they make everything from scratch in a nut free facility.A good recipe book on baking nut free is the allergy self help cook book.Check the label of your lip glosses/lipsticks and make sure they are free of nut oils and etc.Do not cook anything with nuts in the house because certain individuals who are sensitive can react to even the fumes.Read all labels carefully and avoid foods that can be crossed contaminated with tree nuts, most labels mention this.Above all be safe and make sure your boyfriend has benadryl and epi-pen with him just in case.He is very lucky to have a supportive and concerned girlfriend like you! best of luck.

I think that almost everything that is made in a facility that also processes nuts has that printed on the package.
The reason why is because a lot of people are allergic to nuts.
So if you just tell him to look at everything carefully he will be ok.

If you ever want to kiss or live with your boyfriend, you should like you also have a nut allergy. I don't know how severe it is. I am severely allergic to shellfish. If my boyfriend eats any kind of shellfish, and kisses me, I can go in anaphalatic shock if I don't have my medication. Be careful.

you have to avoid nuts or nut oils eating them using almond oil skin products etc. Read ingredients carefully, with his allergy you might have to watch sunflower oils and cooking oils too. If you eat these things, you wont' be able to kiss him for fear of reaction.
