Nuts Allergy ! Why do so many Australians have it?? |
I'm a Flight Attendant! We get so many Nuts Free Meal request on Australian Flights! immunization does have quite a bit to do with a lot of allergies and digestive issues. Another big problem is the processing of foods. More and more our foods are becoming farther and farther away from their natural state- peanuts are one of the most processed foods in the world- they are sprayed to prevent mold, preservatives , anti fungals, bug prevention and the list goes on, none of these things are meant for or safe for human consumption. Our digestive systems are being destroyed and no one seems to be concerned or moved by the fact that food allergies are running rampant as of late and we are dealing with issues that were not in existence 20 or more years ago. To "those" questions I mean......... Report It I am a US citizen and the mom of a child with a nut allergy. I am finding an increased number of this allergy as well as to egg, milk, gluten and fish. Way more then I experienced growing up (zero). The allergist and school nurse both think it's the way we are processing our foods, all the additives and chemicals. I was told that none of this processing is done in Japan and there are almost no food allergies (esp nuts) over there. I implore you to take these people's requests seriously. Nut allergies can be deadly as in my daughter's case. The reactions start with hives then can go into anaphylaxis and anaphylactic shock resulting in death if not treated. Many have to carry an epi-pen to counteract the reaction. Some allergies are airborne and allergic people can get a reaction from tiny particals in the air. Others may touch something that someone who ate nuts may have also touched. The oils on that surface can also prompt a reaction. my mom was severely alergic to penuts |
