Tree nut allergies proteins?

what is the specific protein found in tree nuts (walnuts etc.) that causes an allergic reaction

Actually nuts are not legumes, peanuts and Brazil nuts are legumes, but tree nuts are classified as nuts. Legumes and nuts come from different families, and many nuts also belong to fruit families, ie almonds are related to peaches and plums.

The proteins in nuts, unlike that in meats, is considered an incomplete protein. These incomplete proteins do not contain all amino acid compounds and must be combined with other proteins for a balanced diet. I do not know what the scientific name for the protein in nuts is, but I would guess that the different groups of nuts have different names.

Most of the foods that commonly cause a severe allergic reaction are high protein. The reaction within the body occurs when the allergic person is exposed to the food and their body views the food proteins as an invader. Antibodies are then created each time the person is exposed, making their reaction potential worse. No one will react the first time they are exposed, as they have not created antibodies to cause the reaction.
