People are allergic to different things.
My suggestion is to eat just a tiny bit and see if there is a reaction. If not, eat a little bit more the next day. Progress to normal portions.
If there is a reaction to the little bit, do not eat them.
I used to be allergic to cherries. I gradually overcame this by eating increasing dosages of cherries. I would not recommend this method for children, however.
