Can people with nut allergies eat Doughnuts?

Sorry about this question, but I can not get over the majority of the answers to the question 'Why do some packets of peanuts have the warning May contain nuts on them.'
I believe we all have some false believes.

I am only asking about doughnuts not peanuts, please only answer about doughnuts.
I will explain why I'm asking when I select the best answer, you will then be in a position to understand.

Certainly as long as they don't have the nut sprinkles......

if they had nuts in them!

I guess it's some FDA law to print that on EVERY package containing materials with common allergens on it (nuts, milk, wheat, yeast, egg, etc).

Maybe they're allergic to other nuts besides peanuts. Besides, it's FDA regulation to print that on every package which have a possibility of an allergic reaction.

some people are allergic to nuts. thats why they have to put that on there.

I don`t see where you`re going with this coz all the answers to the nut question seem reasonable to me. What exactly is it you want to know ? If you are allergic to nuts you can only eat a doughnut if it doesn`t contain nuts - simple as. I think people who have nut allergies have more brains than people give them credit for. They have an allergy for god`s sake - they are careful what they eat !

no most donuts have traces of nuts in them

No. Most doughnuts either are fried in a nut oil or their toppings contain nut traces. Also they can be placed in a fryer that has had fried food with nuts or nut traces.
