Can anyone help me with statistics on non-profit vs. for profit nursing homes?

I am doing a Thesis on resident care in nursing homes and I need to find all the info on "for profit and not for profit" nursing homes.Which one provides better care,staffing,sevices and so on. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Your state health department should be able to provide you with the info.

BTW - I'm sure such studies have been done a number of times. For profit will always have better stats than not for profit, especially in mortality rates. It's basic econ 101 - the dead don't pay, and the living do.
