Right time for Nursing homes?

When should i put my parents into a home - they are still fairly active, (50-55), but i just want shot of them - they always get in the way - is this OK?

oh hun! Don't bee shooting your parents, let them live many, many years so they can slowly drive you out of your mind as you did to them growing up.

As far as when? Well mine threw me in the home the moment she opened the freezer to find a ship load of cold, skinned, dead rubber duckies. It was the brutal winter or 85 or was that 95 hmmm never mind, well I was hunting the harsh tundra, been at it for 6 months, Not finding fur or feather for food drove me to madness and I did the unthinkable:
It was dark and I spotted the soft, warm glow of lights coming from the Rubber Duckie Ranch and Day Spa. I could hear the cheerful quacking of those rolly polly well fed rubber duckies. (ohhhh my tummy growled with.....anticipation!!) I went to my knees , then onto my belly and did a snake crawl to get closer to my prey. There I saw Molly sitting in a hot tub surrounded by those tasty yellow little tid bits. Oh how she was pampering them. Lifting them up one by one, tickling their soft underbelly and making them coo in delight. PAMPERED, SOFT, tasty morsels of R. B. flesh! I did a couple snake licks as I thought about how to get my hands on one or more. I spotted Carma waddleing toward me, I pounced on her, grabbed her hind leg, spun her 3 times above my head and let her go, the G force whipped her beyond the reaches of the soft glowing lights. She hit the turff with a resounding thud followed by a howl of pain. Molly, being the protector of these foul, fowlings jumped from the hot tub to aid said Carma duckie. The rest is history, here I am rotting in the old ladies home for the wicked and deranged. (I do get a sneak out and about from time to time) Muah, ha ha ha!!

Go ahead and joke, you'll get there faster than you think...

Do U want to shoot them? That is not right, they love u! When a parent is too old t be alone they need to go into a home if u can;t take care of them. If I were you, and thank god i am not, I would get them into a RETIREMENT community, where they can have fun w people their own age and be out of your hair. Some communities provide some assistance or supervision depending on what they need. Try to be more respectful and grateful, or karma will bite u in the a$$!

Maybe you should move out of their home, get a job, a place of your own and a life of your own. Then you won't have to worry about them getting in the way. The time for being a baby is over.

truth .ive worked as a cook and as an LNA in a nursing home and have seen upclose how the people who were placed there are treated . to most they are litel more than object associated with their job I would never place one of my parents in a home

you shoul be ashamed of your self for even thinking of this in advace this is some thing that is done out of necesity not out of personal vedeta

I did it to my mum! She's 52, but then she escapes all the time and leaves nasty posts on Yahoo Answers and threatens to do experiments on my Duckys.

you wish.

they'll probably outlive you, sonny!
