What is the carer patient ratio in Residential/Nursing Homes in UK? What are the yardstick for fixig it? I don't think it really matters what its meant to be,They are always under staffed under payed etc, I think its 10 patients to 1 nurse/carer on night shift, about 5 or 6 : 1 on days. Hi i work in a residential home which has 28 residents, during the day there are 2 carers and 1 pcm (personal care manager) who does medication and on a night just 2 carers. its not enough and its very hard work. certainly don't get paid for the work you do. |
