Nursing Home part 3?

My mother is 80 but I dont believe because of her age I should give up on her, also we are in Oklahoma, and I fed her pureed food , and there are many other things that happened in this rest home, it was suppose to be a better one , if there is such a thing, i think when people see your old they think oh well, i think she has plenty of life left, as far as the rest home i looked online , I never knew to do it before she was put in the rest home by my sister, that they had a nursing home rating chart on the net, the place she was in had strikes against them but so did all the others, I love my mom and want the best for her, even though she is old, and Im not sure that nursing would flush out the g-tube or keep it clean, so im very upset over this issue and really dont know what im gonna do, as my sister never comes around. and they never did a throat test on my mom,
Thanks for all your opinions

Being a home caregiver can be tough !! You have taken on a big responsibility !! Nursing homes are notoriously understaffed and do not pay their "caregivers" well. If your mother has Medicare A & B you can request in home nursing and therapy !! They will pay for most of same and take some of the "load" off and give you a break !!!!!!!!!!!

go to a few of them and see what u think and them move her if you want to hugs

my dad got sick really fast and that happened to us we would come and he would be locked in his room oh it was terrible you must remove her from there try a private home they take care of four are five laddies they live in much better check with your church or any other organization until you find a good one your mom deserves it she is your mom my mom is 80 and going strong lol nursing homes are bad places watch out
