I had nuclear medicine scan and was told I had an increased ischium vertabrae. I have severe lower back pain?

Researching the increased ischium it stated that this could cause 'ischemia' caused by not enough oxygen and/or blood to the ischium vertebrae. The pain in my lower back is only when I walk and/or work, not when I am sitting or sleeping.? is there treatment for this condition to help aleviate the severe pain?

I would go back and try to straiten out the diagnosis.
First of all the ischium is NOT part of the vertebral column it is part of the pelvic girdle which includes the ilium, ischeum, and pubis and supports the legs.

Ischemia is generally not related to the area to which you are refering to. Not knowing you personally, and your age, health, and previous diagnosis, it would be difficult to help you diagnose your specific problem, but after everything everything has been ruled out, including kidneys, pelvic inflammatory disease, or other such symptoms chiropractic may be something that you wouyld want to consider. I am sorry but there is no ischium vertebrae. The ischium is located in the pelvis, it is the bone than you sit on, in other words it is also called the butt bone. Ischemia on the other hand is a little more understandable, that is what is called a vertebral subluxation, it is when the vertebrae is dislocated, and is impinging the nerve supply exiting out, and is not getting the blood supply. Since vertebra have a poor blood supply they eventually begin to degenerate, then fuse, and once that happens it is not going to be a pretty sight for you. Luckily I have a solution for you that is cheaper, and more efficient, than the current treatment you are recieving. It is called chiropractic, chiropractors are specialist with the vertebrae, trust me I know. 5 years ago I did not know anything about them, I suffered for 4 1/2 years with a condition of my skin called a staph areus infection, and my dermatologist could not get rid of it. I got a job working for a chiropractor, I told her about my problem, and she told me she would see what she could do, 6 weeks later my problem dissappeared, that was in 2001, I started chiropractic school in 2002, I now have 2 1/2 years left, and soon I will be a chiropractor myself helping people out also. Please listen to my advise, I am not trying to jip you, so you will get hurt and not see any relief, but I want you to get rid of your problem, and I don't care about the stupid 10 points, all I care about is you getting true healthcare. I have several questions for you, for one how old are you, do you have any infections in the pelvis, have you had your pelvis checked,etc.. The chiropractor will be able to refer you to the proper physician if necessary.
