Which is more accurate, a thryroid nuclear scan or ultrasound? |
My doctor ordered a thyroid nuclear scan and it showed a "hot nodule", then the ultrasound found nothing. Where do you think they will go from here? I don't want it ignored if something is actually there! ultrasound is the gold standard for any cancer diagnosis. I would however believe the thyroid scan. That is a pretty good test. What does the oncologist say? |
