? about MRSA?

I was diagnosed with MRSA just the othe rday after being on anibiotics for 12 days now , and still am on I.V.'s every 12 hrs..
The swelling has gone down but the 2 holes that formed and now have opened up and are draining are very red. I've had a bone scan done and now today I go in for another one with the nuclear dye. Can someone tell me whats going on and how bad they think this is? I'm very concerned and don't seem to get the answers I think I need.

My bone scan came back positive for Osteomylitis.How long may this take with Vancomyacin treatment??

Because there are holes, your doctor wants to make sure that there's no infection in the bone.

The fact that the swelling is improving means that the antibiotics are working.

The person that blamed medical personnel for all MRSA is , to be polite, uninformed. There are 2 forms of MRSA, one is "community" MRSA, another is "hospital" MRSA. The community version is actually more dangerous.

I would bet money that you contracted the MRSA in a doctors office or hospital. it is a bacteria that comes from dr's and nurses not washing properly between treating patients!!!!!!!!!
