How can I stop myself from excessively scratching my face and nose during sleep?

I know there are others out there with similar problems, but for me:
--Scratches range from benign to severe
-I have done this since childhood (possibly earlier)
- I have no skin disorders I know of or any logical reasons to itch
-Will not scratch during naps or in a bed other than my own
-I have tried gloves and even restraints
-I am completely normal during the day

Any responses or answers would ease my mind and make my day . Thank You

Wear a face guard?

tie your hands behind you back

You say you have tried gloves...have you mad sure that ALL of your bedding is laundered frequently in a soap/softener,etc. to which you are not allergic? Even the old Tried-and-True soaps/detergents change formulas and might now include a substance to which you show an allegic reaction.

Go to see your Doc,you may be allergic to the powder used to wash the bed linen.

Tie your hand to your bedpost!!!! No, I'm just kidding! Maybe try applying anti- itch cream on your face before you go to sleep. If you live with someone, maybe they scratch your face to make you think your going crazy! Once again, just joking!

Good luck; I hope I helped!!!!!

Have you changed your mattress since you were a child?

Cut your nails and try a moisturizer.

Sleep in another bed.
