Please help me, I am tired of being scared!? |
Okay first of all I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 8 years old; I have never gotten any treatment. My mom also took me to the doctor for OCD or tourettes syndrome. She tends to think there is a lot wrong with me. But I do think that there is something not quite right, but I'm not sure what. I am 13 female and I have done a lot of research on me mental disorders, but I can't really find any thing that describes me. It is very well possible that there is nothing wrong with me and I'm just a bit of a hypercandreat (sp?). Here are some "symptoms:" But it feels like if I don鈥檛 do it then something bad with happen.) 1 year ago Well, you could be a lot of teens. I know when your family life is not great or is bad we tend to have insecurities and this can cause a lot of the feelings that you describe. Also, you may be sensitive and things bother you a lot. There is a lot to be afraid of today. Many things are going on that make us feel scared. so, you may be trying to distract yourself and your brain and mind from thinking about all the things that could and might go wrong by doing compulsive things. The fact that you know that you are doing theae things and are aware of them and you say you can control them is a great thing. That means you control them they don't control you. That is very Good! go to webmd.com you can have disscussions with real doctors and ppl just type in your symptoms and this should help you. All of us get that way sometimes. Your human and normal. Stress causes a lot of your emotions. Especially if you are sensitive like me. There is definetly nothing wrong with you. The more you think that you have a problem the sicker you will become. How you feel emotionally (Your mother thinking there is something wrong with you), causes physical symptoms that are normal. Just relax and focus on your education. I use to think there was something wrong with me so I kept going to the doctor, but it was all in my mind, my imagination. It's easy to get medication from psyciatrists. You don't need medication because you don't have a problem. Well I think you need to talk to the doctor and explain what's going on. There could be lots going on with you. If you think that there is some thing wrong , don't be afraid to ask, talk to your mom, or a school councilor, don't be afraid to ask questions, it seems that you are a brave girl, for your age, just be straight forward to whom you talk to, and voice your concerns. good luck with it... wow. sounds like alot of problems, but that really sounds like me when i was younger. and im 17 now and i have nothing wrong. just typical teenage mood swings and thats bowt it. i rly dont think its anything to worry bowt hun. You sound like you would make a great accountant; I am. there is nothing wrong with you hun, its called growing up. hang in there, you will be fine. 13 and 14 are hard...you start to see things from another point of view and that can be scary. also your body is changing too and THAT can be really frightening. it is sad that parents forget what it was like when they were growing up and take their kids to the doctor to get them doped up so they dont have to deal with them. I have 3 kids a 24 year old son...a 14 year old daughter and a 1 year old daughter. I know what it is like growing up. it is scary and confusing sometimes but it will all work out in the end...hang in there! i think your going thru lots of stress ;this time of the year;;as for your symptoms some are normal.and some are a mild case of ocd.but the rest of its ok i guess;beings you know your doing it....have you ever had a councillor before? i have one downtown Seattle and she is the greatest,,,, when i come out of there speaking my geys up; i feel great,,,,,,please consider it it really works and yes they have meds that help some people,,,,,,good-luck and take care, There is nothing "wrong" with you, but I would suggest talking to a clinical psychologist about the possibility of mild OCD, or paranoia disorder. Counseling would also help, especially because of your home being unstable, these feeling may just be a byproduct of the increased stress. |
