Who do i report it to????

Ok, My aunt was on a rheumatoid arthritis medicine called methatrexate.. she was on it for a little over a year.. and this summer it was making her sick.. making her bleed out of every hole in her body.. she finally went to the hospital.. and a week later she was put in icu.. she was in there a whole month with a respirator.. and a tube up her nose going to her stomach.. so she wasnt able to talk.. they did dialysis every other day on her.. and kept her heavily sedated.. They diagnosed her with DIC which is a blood disorder caused by the methatrexate they said.. and soon after.. all the doctors gave up on her.. they took her out of icu and put her in a shitty room on the step down unit.. and finally she died there.. would u blame the hospital or the medication? If the medication, who can i report it to or does it have to be in the immediate family to report?

Ok.. look i know what my aunt went through okay,, she was on medicine to ease her pain and it f'in killed her! you dont know her or how her body was.. and u wasnt at the hospital every day for a month watching her suffer.. and excuse me.. while she was lying there dying.. another person had to be flown to another hospital b/c she was on that same medication and it was making her skin fall off so before u start acting like u know every damn thing, get ur facts straight.. until youve been in my situation.. stfu!

My first question to you is this - how much to you know about living with any type of arthritis or any other chronic illness? Do you know what it is to live with a chronic illness? Do you know what it is to live in severe chronic pain? I mean, pain that never, ever lets up, pain that is your constant companion, pain that doesn't allow you to function?

This is a very brief description of life with arthritis. I live with this every day. Your aunt did as well. And she was told the potential risks of each of her meds, as well as upside. No, I am not blaming your aunt. If methotrexate was a med that would work for me, I would take it and simply be more closely monitored than I have been to date. So would millions of others plagued in this way.

I understand your grief and your anger, but sometimes there is no one and nothing to be blamed. You won't be able to find any peace within yourself if you insist on asigning blame where none exists.
