ONLY serious answers only no Goof off please? |
Ok this question is being asked for my friend who is here with me tonight. She has a guy friend she met like 2 months ago and when they have talked on the phone, at first he seems to be fine, but after awhile he starts this snorting noise that sounds like he is sucking up chocolate milk in his nose. Theres like a little bit of a laugh each time he does it.LOL I heard just a bit of it over the speaker phone tonight, but not enough to make out if its just him goofing off or a medical problem he might have. She asked him several times what he is doing and he always answers with watching TV talking to you. She asked what the noise was and he was like nothing. She wont let me come out and ask him. I would embarrass her, so anyone out there know if this could be a medical disorder? Serious answers only...I have better things to do than read all these unnecessary answers. Wow, I thought I would get better answers than this. Apparently not many were even paying much attention to the question. Most just want to sound brighter than the next like gabe. LOL You all read in way too much into peoples questions. This NOT a boyfriend. Just a friend she met and talked on the phone. Just friends not lovers. She was only curious to what it could be. I dont think its drugs, it sounds more like a disorder of some sort and I dont want to embarrass the guy if this is the case. Not his fault. But Vet tech seemed to be the most helpful without so quickly accusing one of drugs. So Thanks Vet Tech, My friend picks your answer. I used to date a guy who had Tourette's syndrome. If you've never heard of it, you might want to check out the website below. People with this disorder display uncontrollable, spontaneous behaviors called "tics." The tics can manifest themselves in many ways, although the one that lots of people make fun of are the people who spontaneously curse. The guy I dated used to crack his jaw and blink really hard. Maybe your friend's guy has a form of Tourette's? Sometimes the tics get worse when someone is uncomfortable, such as when a guy is talking with a girl he likes and he can't think of anything cool to say...Sometimes, people with Tourette's disorder are only a little aware of their tics, and more often they try to pretend that it doesn't happen because it can be socially embarrassing. So do you actually know what it is yet? Report It It sounds like it is his laugh, from when you say it occurs. She would need to meet him in real life to be able to tell. he may be snorting some nose candy.....stay away from him he could have a small or deformed nasal passage which explains the noise...but if you are serious about the guy and want a relationship ...you have to know that he is already lying to you about the noises...which makes him abad guy....be upfront with people He might just have sinus problem he doesnt like to talk about cause my friend has sinus problems and it makes kind of a snorting noise and he doesnt like to talk about it cause it only embasses him. There could be a wide range of problems, however I would be concerned if, in public he didn't perform the same noise as it could be something more serious than a medical disorder. I guess it could be a medical something or other, but I've had some severe sinus problems fixed and I never made that particular variety of noise... deviated septum ? It sounds more like a mental problem not a medical one Its a pretty silly question, but here goes. Simple... he does it ON PURPOSE! to get your friend interested. Have you seen one of those conversation starters on your boss' desk? Same thing. It'd be boring if it was late at night and all you get to do is hear "blah...blah... blah" on the phone. Sounds to me like he's watching tv, sees something funny, and when he laughs, he snorts. haha he's a snorter. that's about the best i can figure. i guess if you're looking for a medical disorder, sure he has a swolen pallet. probably snores real bad when he sleeps too. Could be laughter, cocaine snorting, or narcolepsy. Need more information. Peace. Does he make this noise when you are talking to him in person as well. He may be nervous talking on the phone a lot of people are not phone people and he may be fidgeting and sniffing while he talks to her. He may not be aware of this himself. I am hoping he will grow out of it he is 13 years old but if he doesn't I am sure the older he gets the more conscious he will be about it and do something about the problem. Cause it is a problem. He could be clearing his throat or nose (some men have disgusting habits what can I say). Sounds like drugs to me. Seriously. |
