Stress disorder? |
My hubby has a tendency to pick at his skin when he is stressed out. His target areas are on his face (mostly the nose) or his the top of his hands. I worry about it cos for one it looks really nasty sometimes and two Im afraid it'll get infected. Usually the places he has picked on his hands get REALLY big. Sometimes he can go for months without doing it. I dont get it. I spose its sorta like biting your fingernails? Any suggestions as to why he does this ..and how I can get him to stop??? He is not the only one dear !! Join the club of Skin Pickers wifes lol ! No matter what you tell him he will not stop. Mine picks a small sore on his forehead, starts to heal and guess what !! Only thing is reminding him to wash his hands and reminding him that it will leave scars and intruducing GERMS to skin can be a big problem. Do they listen NOOOOOOO ! So let them PICK AWAY !!!!!!!!!! LOL. Has your husband had to endure anything extremely negative in doubt there is anything u could do i would called the doctor asap!! Teach him some stress management.
