I have a crazy sleep problem, what do you think it is? |
Almost 1 year ago I started making a clicking noise in my sleep. Not a snore or a breathing noise, but like a clicking noise from the back of the throat. I've never actually heard this noise because I'm asleep when it happens. I've only heard immitations from my boyfriend. I tried to tape it, but can never catch it. I have NO idea what's causing it. I tried all kinds of nasal sprays, cough drops, anti-snoring devices and sleeping positions. Nothing works. I had allergies for a few years and recently saw a doctor for that. He gave me a prescription nose spray and the allergies are pretty much gone. I though that the allergies could be the cause of the clicking, but the clicking is only getting worse. Right now, I don't have insurance, so going to doctor after doctor is expensive. I moved into an old house 1.5 years ago. Could it be something in the air that's making me sick or some kind of sleeping disorder or mental problem I got out of the blue for no apparent reason? I am pretty sure u are grinding yur teeth. You prob. have ta see a specialist like a sleep specialist. do you drink enough water ? i get something kind of like that when my mouth is really dry. go see a doctor and take boyfriend with you so he can describe noise, if nothing else you will make the doctor laugh! see a chiropractor... if you're grinding your teeth he can adjust your jaw... if it's a sinus problem he can adjust your face.... if you're trying to pop plugged ears he can adjust your ears... and it's waaaaay cheaper than going to a general family doctor. Yeah my mother makes that noise.. it's annoying.. your throat tickles while you sleep.. that's why you make that noise.. Sometimes universities have sleep studies and trials and you might want to check in to that and sign up to see if they can help you. I think it is usually free to participate in these types of things and it might get to the root of the problem. It is an odd problem, thats for sure! |
