How effective is Tarceva in treating Stage - IV of Non Small Cell Lung Cancer ?

The side effect shown rashes, fatique, loss weight, nausa ...

Unfortunately, the answer is, "it depends". Simplfication down to a "10%" number doesn't tell you the whole story.

It is supposidably really effective but it takes many doses. and high levels of it just like chemo.

stage 4 is the most progressed stage of cancer.. this means it has spred to lymph nodes and other organs in distant parts of the body. any treatment option at this point is going to have a low success rate. treatment may prolong life but it's very unlikely to completely cure the cancer. sorry to say this but just trying to give you an honest answer

About 10% chance of shrinking tumor by at least 30% of its size after 6 weeks of treatment. The rest of people either have the tumor size the same (stable) or have it grown larger. Don't worry, give it a try first. If it doesn't work, the doc will try something else and something will finally work.
